FPGA Verification Engineer (Multiple Openings - Onsite & Remote)
Positions Available

- 3 Locations:
Owego, NY | Sunnyvale, CA | Littleton/Waterton (Denver), CO - Work Options: 100% Onsite or 100% Remote (role-dependent)
- Cleared & Uncleared Opportunities Available
- Contract Length: 5 to 9 months (with potential extension or conversion to full-time)
- Pay Rate:
- $50 - $80/hr W2 (Owego, NY - Remote or Onsite)
- $60 - $100/hr W2 (Sunnyvale, CA & Denver, CO - Onsite)
- Work Schedule:
- 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour days) or
- 5/40 standard weekday schedule
- Shift: 1st Shift
- US Citizenship Required for all positions
- Security Clearance:
- Positions #1 & #2 (Owego, NY):
Clearance NOT required (must be able to obtain) - Positions #3 & #4 (Sunnyvale, CA & Denver, CO):

We are seeking experienced FPGA Verification Engineers to support advanced ASIC and FPGA development programs within aerospace and defense R&D environments. These roles focus primarily on verification activities, including UVM-based verification, safety-critical avionics compliance, and high-speed digital systems.
The selected engineers will contribute across the full lifecycle of FPGA verification-requirements analysis, verification planning, simulation, coverage analysis, integration, and test-supporting complex, mission-critical systems
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ASIC & FPGA verification for R&D and production programs
- Develop and execute verification plans aligned with design requirements
- Create and maintain System Verilog/UVM test benches, tests, and coverage models
- Support DO-254 (Level A/B) verification activities, including documentation and audits
- Execute simulation, coverage analysis, and back-annotation of results
- Collaborate with RTL designers, systems engineers, RF/analog teams, and certification teams
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and lab-based verification
- Improve verification efficiency through automation and scripting
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Support internal and external technical reviews and certification activities
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional FPGA/ASIC verification experience
- Strong proficiency in System Verilog
- Experience with UVM (expert-level for Sunnyvale & Denver roles)
- Experience with FPGA tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify
- Proficiency with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools
- Experience working in Linux-based verification environments
- Familiarity with version control and configuration management tools
- Experience with DO-254 avionics hardware certification
- Prior participation in FAA or EASA certification audits
- Experience with DSP, high-speed digital design, SoC, and high-speed networking
- Familiarity with embedded processors on FPGA platforms
- Experience with C or embedded software
- Experience using lab equipment (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)
