Overview
Electrical Quality Engineer needed for a leading engineering client in Mossville, IL.
Location:
Mossville, IL — 100% onsite. Type:
Contract. Pay: $35-36.77/hour on W2. Length: 12 months with possibility to extend. Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired. Optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend.

5-7 years - Degree requirement: minimum bachelor’s in engineering preferred; technician background acceptable. Master’s Degree is acceptable

The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
Job Responsibilities- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Basic leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Experience with computer applications and software related to engineering, such as CAD.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- 5-7 years experience required
- Typical Day 8am-4:30pm with ability to flex; in office unless case-by-case exception to work from home for compelling reason.
- Daily communication with dealers around product inquiries and quality concerns
- Weekly review of quality data and trends
Highly collaborative team working within the immediate team to collectively pool knowledge and experience in solving customer problems while leveraging the deeper expertise of engineering teams to resolve problems and continuously improve the product.
Team StructureProduct Support team works closely together to share experience across product leveraging similar electronics and architecture while developing expertise in quality improvement processes and product application subject matter.
