Position: Electrical - Project Engineer (Medium Voltage Design)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Professional Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage System Design to join our dynamic team. The engineer selected for this position will:

* Lead and execute medium voltage system design projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

* Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analyses, short circuit analyses, and voltage drop calculations to determine optimal system configurations.

* Develop comprehensive engineering designs, including the selection and specification of equipment such as transformers, switch gear, cables, and protective devices.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical designers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure the seamless integration of medium voltage systems into larger projects.

Requirements:

* 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

* Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia or able to obtain reciprocity within three months of the start date.

* Field knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems.

* Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with familiarity in system modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM), and knowledge of sustainable design practices.

* Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.

Desirable:

* Prior consulting experience, especially in federal government design projects, is preferred.

* Experience in building system design is a plus.
