We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SPAC 512 – Human Spaceflight Industry at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University.
Course OverviewIntroduction to launch, mission operations, and facilities for crewed and uncrewed missions at U.S. and foreign sites. Discusses satellite and spacecraft launch facility systems, including safety, meteorology, communications, tracking, navigation, and control systems. Covers mission control, operations, and systems, NASA, DoD, commercial space operations and launch sites, legacy spacecraft (Space Shuttle, Russian Soyuz), and future commercial transportation programs.
ResponsibilitiesTeach and develop the SPAC 512 course, design lectures, assessments, and evaluation methods, and provide instructional support aligned with the university’s academic standards.
Desired Training or ExperienceSpecific industry, military or university training or experience in Aeronautics, Atmospheric Science, Engineering, Physics, or Astronomy.

All adjuncts must be physically located within the United States. Current support is available for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. International locations are not supported, except limited exceptions for U.S. military bases. Selected candidates must provide proof of qualifications, such as transcripts, licenses, certifications, or verified professional experience.
