Electrical Project Engineer – Sustaining Product Development (SPD)
Rehlko is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Electrical Project Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and implementation of advanced electrical and electronic systems for our industrial generator platforms. The role requires strong experience in analog and digital circuitry, microprocessor-based controls, and electrical system troubleshooting in a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Lead or support implementation of electrical components or electronic systems on generator platforms, including validation, testing, and post-production support.
- Develop and execute test specifications and procedures to validate or verify component or system function.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement electrical and controls systems.
- Troubleshoot failures and work with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Recommend product improvements based on test results and field data.
- Develop and implement special electronics systems for testing purposes.
- Design and conduct research programs to evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications.
- Participate in design reviews and develop FMEA reports.
- Assist with vendor investigation and root‑cause analysis of failed components.
- Contribute to lessons learned methodology and continuous process improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and design direction to CAD analysts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Develop documentation to meet product specifications, customer, regulatory, and technical requirements.
- Deliver projects on time, within cost, and quality expectations.
- Define individual goals to support department objectives and demonstrate core competencies.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, electronic systems, and/or new product development (NPD) or sustaining product development (SPD).
- General knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards (plus).
- Familiarity with MATLAB, PSPICE, Simulink, OrCAD, C, C++, or Python is a plus.
- Authorized to work in the United States without needing visa sponsorship.
Hybrid work model: 3 days on site at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI 53083. Remote work permissible for the remainder of the week.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $83,300.00 – $ (depending on experience, education, and location).
