Production Engineer - Renewable Natural Gas; RNG

Position

Production Engineer – Bala Cynwyd, PA (Philadelphia area)

• Serve as a member of a collaborative global Operations & Maintenance team, primarily supporting Waga Energy's US subsidiary.
• Remotely operate WAGABOX® landfill gas upgrading units, monitoring performance and responding to deviations.
• Diagnose unit performance issues, equipment failures, and other operational malfunctions and coordinate with on‑site technicians to implement corrective actions.
• Analyze data from remote supervision tools to determine causes of failures and apply methodical root‑cause analysis.
• Prioritize process optimization and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance unit performance.
• Maintain and update tracking tools (CMMS, on‑call logs, etc.) to ensure accurate unit performance records.
• Deploy to WAGABOX® unit locations across the US as needed for on‑site intervention.
• Maintain a continuous focus on safety, ensuring all activities comply with safety protocols, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call site work schedule as required.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering technology, industrial technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience remotely operating and monitoring gas plants or similar industrial systems.
• Technical certification in process control systems, SCADA, and CMMS software.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system malfunctions.
• Competency in data analysis and performance monitoring.
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles and their application in industrial plant operations.
• Familiarity with design, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in industrial facilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors/subcontractors.
• Ability to accommodate +/- 25% domestic travel time (including overnight stays); international travel may also be required.
• Fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus.
