Project OverviewBechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project, responsible for designing the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant and constructing the entire facility.
Job SummaryThis position provides document management support, working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, and other site management teams. Duties include receiving, processing, indexing, distributing, retrieving, and maintaining project documents in accordance with established policies and procedures, utilizing an Electronic Content Management System (ECMS). The role requires attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and correct revision usage. The position performs various tasks associated with document management activities and works closely with peers, technical leads, supervisors, and customers.
WorkSchedule
Schedule E (5/8 Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM). Telework is available on Friday, with an option to expand remote work in the future. At least three days of in‑person attendance per week are required at the Reston office or project site.
Major Responsibilities- Process a wide range of revision‑controlled project documents, performing acceptance reviews for compliance, uploading files to the Bechtel and consortium ECMS, ensuring accurate metadata capture, and distributing files per established policies.
- Perform data entry to produce and maintain logs, transmittals, and documentation tracks within the project ECMS, maintaining accuracy rates set by supervision.
- Update document management plans, project procedures, desktop instructions, system guides, attribute sheets, and other assigned documents.
- Interface routinely with project personnel, client and consortium counterparts, vendors, and subcontractors to provide support and respond to inquiries and action requests.
- Maintain the electronic filing system and record copies of project documents as directed.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality checks to monitor data entry accuracy.
- Monitor Document Control mailboxes for action requests and notify project records to process into the EDMS.
- Produce or support reports using office automation tools such as Aconex, Power BI, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Operate standard office equipment as required.
- Reserve document numbers within the consortium partner’s configuration management tool and create corresponding reservations in the Bechtel ECMS.
- Stay current with departmental technologies, techniques, and services relevant to the role and recommend process improvements.
- Complete required training in a timely manner, meeting management expectations and procedural requirements.
- Adhere to governing quality and safety program requirements.
- Maintain proper document configuration management supporting Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Startup.
- Provide general and technical support to project personnel on Document Control procedures, requirements, work processes, and automation tools.
- Assist in developing training material and conduct ECMS training classes for project personnel.
- Perform procedure reviews to ensure compliance with departmental requirements.
- Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed.
- Work overtime and/or outside normal work periods as required.
- Travel in support of the project as necessary.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university, or one year (1) of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
