The QA Project Engineer is responsible for supporting company/client projects by representing quality assurance in the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned project activities. The Project Engineer serves as a central point of contact between the QA team and other internal and external stakeholders for project-related cross functional quality and process related issues. The QA Project Engineer is responsible for understanding and communicating project quality requirements, ensuring they are well understood and appropriately reflected in internal documentation, and working with quality and other personnel to ensure that project quality requirements are flowed to suppliers as applicable.
Typical internal stakeholders include project managers, business development and proposal team leads, engineering project leads, supply chain, individual contributors and managers. External stakeholders will typically include partner firms, with the QA project engineer leading interactions with respect to quality matters, and customers. Success in this role requires the ability to efficiently formulate plans and strategies to address requirements and new demands, as well as the ability to build strong relationships and teams.
This position will occasionally be responsible for QA process related developments and will at times be asked to coordinate cross-functional project activities.
