We are seeking a Digital Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronics hardware for critical protection and control systems. This role involves designing and testing new products, enhancing legacy hardware, and collaborating across engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable solutions.
You will work on FPGA development, high‑speed ADC/DAC integration, and hardware/software interface design while adhering to industry and quality standards. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, hands‑on design skills, and problem‑solving abilities to contribute to innovative solutions in power systems and related industries. Your work will have a direct impact on system performance, product reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop requirements and technical specifications for new and existing products in collaboration with engineering and product management
- Design, prototype, and test digital hardware, including high‑speed ADCs/DACs, FPGAs, and microprocessors
- Maintain legacy hardware and documentation, managing engineering change processes and resolving component obsolescence issues
- Produce and maintain schematics, BOMs, ECNs, and other engineering documentation using tools like Altium
- Support board layout, prototype testing, manufacturing, and system testing to ensure quality and performance
- Utilize lab tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and protocol analyzers for hardware diagnostics
- Develop and debug VHDL for FPGA designs and use model‑based design tools for automated HDL code generation
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands‑on design experience with high‑speed ADCs/DACs, FPGAs, and microprocessors, including integration and optimization
- 3+ years of VHDL development experience in signal processing, timing closure, or communication systems
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, noise mitigation, and high‑speed PCB layout principles
- Familiarity with hardware/software interface collaboration and testing standards (UL, CE, IEC, IEEE)
- Knowledge of software design principles to complement hardware development
