A day in the life:
  • Document and provide marked up submittals to Project Manager showing any modifications, or discrepancies related to inline duct and piping devices
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to reduce cost of installation and create an efficient layout/drawing
  • Generate full coordination and fabrication drawings—i.e., pounds of metal, accessories, footage, weld inches, feet of pipe, etc.
  • Provide accurate estimates for completion of assignments
You should have:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A basic level of understanding of his/her trade (mechanical pipe, plumbing or sheet metal) relative to commercial and industrial construction
  • The ability to read and understand contract drawings, specs, and submittals
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D design
  • Ability to work from jobsite environment on occasion
