Structural / Civil Engineer (PE Required)
Houston, TX (Onsite at NASA Johnson Space Center)
$110,000 – $130,000 a year
Full-Time | 9/80 Schedule | Temp-to-Perm
Job OverviewWe are seeking a Structural / Civil Engineer with a strong background in facilities and building systems to support projects at NASA Johnson Space Center.
This position is ideal for a licensed PE or an engineer actively pursuing their PE who enjoys working on existing structures, renovations, and infrastructure improvements in a hands‑on environment.
Work Schedule- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM OR 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 9/80
Schedule:- Week 1:
Monday – Thursday - Week 2:
Monday – Friday - Off every other Friday
- Week 1:
- Onsite role at NASA Johnson Space Center
- Hybrid (work-from-home) available after training
, depending on project needs - Remote schedule may change based on NASA requirements
- Temp-to-Perm opportunity with strong long-term potential
- Perform structural analysis and design for existing buildings and facilities
- Support facility remodeling, upgrades, and modifications
- Ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation
- Develop design drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support facility systems awareness, including fire alarm systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- PE License (preferred) or actively pursuing PE
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with existing facilities, renovations, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Knowledge of AISC, ACI, and structural design standards
- Experience with:
RISA-3D, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, Micro Station, Revit, MathCAD - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- U.S. Citizenship (required for NASA site access)
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Work on impactful projects at NASA facilities
