Senior IT Engineer & Project Manager

Location: Central New Jersey (Hybrid/Remote)

Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000

Type: Full-Time

We're seeking a Senior IT Engineer / Project Manager to join our growing Managed Services team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly technical professional who enjoys both hands-on engineering and project leadership responsibilities.

In this role, you'll lead technical projects from planning through execution while also serving as a senior engineering resource for complex client environments. You'll work closely with clients, engineers, and leadership to deliver successful outcomes, improve processes, and drive technology initiatives forward.

This is not a pure project management role, nor is it solely an engineering position. We're looking for someone who can comfortably bridge both worlds.

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure, cloud, and technology projects from initiation through completion.
• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Coordinate project timelines, resources, deliverables, and client communications.
• Work directly with clients to understand business needs and recommend technical solutions.
• Assist with project scoping, planning, budgeting, and documentation.
• Collaborate with service desk and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain project visibility and ensure stakeholders remain informed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in onsite client visits when required.

• Previous experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
• Strong Azure experience, including administration, deployment, and support.
• Experience leading or managing technical projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and modern cloud technologies.
• Experience working with PSA platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining hands-on technically.

• Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar).
• Experience with:
• Kaseya solutions
• Autotask PSA
• Windows Server
• Networking and infrastructure technologies
• Previous experience serving as a project lead, technical lead, or senior engineer within an MSP environment.
• PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications are a plus.

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to work from home while remaining connected to a collaborative team. An office is available in Central New Jersey for those who prefer a hybrid office environment.

Occasional client onsite visits will be required, primarily throughout Central New Jersey and Manhattan.
