About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Designer at Jacobs, you will design and draft electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for advanced manufacturing facilities using AutoCAD and Revit MEP. You will develop layouts, sketches, 2D/3D models, and electronic document files, coordinate with engineers and design leads, manage staffing plans, mentor junior staff, and ensure project deliverables meet client expectations for scope, budget, and schedule.
Location& Work Arrangement
Geographical flexibility within the U.S., with a strong preference for candidates residing in Pittsburgh, PA;
Tempe, AZ; or Portland, OR. Qualified candidates may be considered for remote work.
- Perform computer-aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
- Create 2D/3D models and sketches using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Coordinate delivery of complex electrical packages with engineers and design leads.
- Develop staffing plans and manage project schedules.
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced designers and drafters.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design using 3-D modeling and drafting.
- At least 5 years of design experience with Revit.
- At least 5 years of experience as a BIM lead.
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical design requirements.

- Associate’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of semiconductor or mission-critical design experience.
The base salary range is $80,600.00 to $, paid hourly based on hours worked. Salary is determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and training.
