Systems Engineer

Job Description

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer, in Minneapolis, MN.

To design, provision, and govern cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure using infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and Azure Resource Manager, as well as Dev Ops tools and Git Ops techniques. Design and develop cloud services and provisioning processes to support consistent, standardized, secure, scalable, and fully automated deployment. Provide technical leadership to team, vendor and contractor resources, validation of designs, flawless execution, and seamless transition of applications and services into the cloud environment.

Remote work permitted 1 day per week.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of engineering and integration experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and foundational technologies such as IAM and core IaaS services (compute, storage, networking). 3 years of experience with Mainframe Batch and workload automation, software engineering and/or testing, data analysis, operating systems (Linux, Windows), storage (enterprise SAN, NAS), database (SQL Server, Oracle), mainframe, and IBM Mainframes & Batch.

2 years of experience with infrastructure as code technologies (Cloud Formation, Terraform, ARM templates), complex operating environments, and programming languages (Python, Power Shell, Groovy, COBOL). Salary Range: $127,421 – $165,000.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $127,421 – $165,000/yearly. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location.
