Drools Expert

Overview

Poland (Remote / Hybrid from Kraków or Gdańsk office). B2B contract for 6 months (potential extension).

• Overcome Adoption Challenges:
  Analyze architecture, identify bottlenecks, and resolve implementation and performance hurdles related to the Drools framework.
• Establish Standards:
  Define system design, rule architecture, and clean coding standards for Drools implementation.
• Team Support &
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Support and coach core team through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge transfer.
• Design & Implementation:
  Hands‑on design and implementation of complex rule‑based architectures aligned with modern microservices.
• Risk Mitigation:
  Analyse requirements, determine feasibility within strict time constraints, identify potential technical risks and propose mitigation plans.
• Documentation:
  Maintain clear, concise technical documentation and best‑practice guides.

• Drools Mastery:
  Expert level, deep knowledge of Drools rule engine, Business Central, KIE containers, and CEP.
• Technical Background:
  Strong background in Java and core enterprise frameworks (Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate).
• Can‑Do Attitude:
  Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
• High Collaboration
  
  Skills:
  
  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to integrate and guide developers.
• Architectural Insight:
  Understanding of distributed architectures, design patterns, and rule engine integration strategies.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Very good English;
  Polish fluency is an asset.
• Nice to Have:
  Experience with Opta Planner / Timefold or other constraint solvers.
• Nice to Have:
  Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles.
