VDC Modeler

Overview

VDC Modeler role for Catapult Solutions Group client in BIM/VDC, Remote. The position focuses on creating accurate Building Information Models and implementing Virtual Design and Construction methodologies to support project execution from concept through completion.

• Ensure integrity of project drawings and maintain privileged information.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate and complete modeling drawing sets.
• Create construction drawings from scratch when necessary.
• Revise existing construction drawings as directed by design managers.
• Maintain a tracking log and storage location of drawings.
• Run multi-trade coordination for clash detection to support design.
• Collect and process 2D documentation and 3D models for coordination.
• Provide insight into new time-saving technologies and methodologies.
• Educate project teams and clients on the benefits of VDC.
• Promote and implement VDC processes and tools within projects.

• 3–5+ years of work experience in Revit.
• Knowledge and experience with Autodesk software and cloudshare.
• Familiarity with MEP drafting coordination, with emphasis on electrical underground infrastructure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

• Additional skills in other VDC-related software.
• Passion for leveraging technology to drive innovation in construction.
• Previous experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture OR Associate’s degree.

• Annual base pay: $70,000 – $115,000 (dependent on experience, skills, and location).
