Operations Manager
Overview
Construction Services Manager needed to join Nexamp's Clean Energy Deployment team. Remote position based in California reporting to the Senior Director, Deployment. Play a key role as the company grows into new markets with extensive civil, electrical, and structural experience and subcontractor management in a construction environment.
What you’ll do- Lead by example and enforce company and regulatory safety policies; address non-compliance among employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Contribute to project development through field walks, value engineering, applying field knowledge to designs, and assisting the permitting process.
- Develop, bid, and ensure adherence to scopes of work for project subcontractors, including applicable prevailing wage and Apprenticeship requirements.
- Develop and coordinate project schedules and execute plans for assigned projects.
- Manage milestone dates and project deliverables including Federal IRA compliance, Tax Equity, and Project Financing.
- Develop and manage the project construction budget; pursue efficiency and cost-saving opportunities across the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the site supervisor to develop risk assessments and HASPs, implement best practices, and provide jobsite safety briefings and tailboard talks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of construction management experience; solar renewable energy experience preferred.
- Subject matter expert on construction sites with strong leadership and project management skills focused on efficiency and safety.
- Advanced knowledge of local building codes and regulations; ability to oversee design, permitting, and building of renewable energy assets.
- Regulatory and California licensing compliance experience.
- Commitment to Nexamp’s mission and passion for solving climate challenges.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; proactive in identifying improvements and maintaining accountability.
- Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and present creative solutions; builds strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Willingness to develop an understanding of Nexamp’s operations to inform business decisions.

Location and compensationThis role is remote within California. Compensation is disclosed for California and may include base salary plus potential incentives and stock options, dependent on role, skills, and location.
