We partner with leading design firms, municipalities, and contractors to deliver high-impact public realm and private development projects—from parks and plazas to institutional campuses and trail systems. Joining our team means contributing to the future of environmentally responsible site design while playing a key technical role in a rapidly growing industry segment.

Role Description

We are seeking a Pathway Construction Engineer to join our team in a full-time,
remote capacity
. This is a career-defining opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, collaboration with design professionals, and working hands-on with contractors in the field, all in a remote capacity.

In this role, you will become one of the leading technical experts on Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate (OLSA), supporting landscape architects, civil engineers, contractors, and licensed dealers throughout the full project lifecycle. Your work will directly shape successful installations across North America—from concept and design review through construction and post-installation evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical support for landscape architects, civil engineers, contractors, and licensed dealers on all aspects of OLSA design and installation.
  • Conduct site inspections, field reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure proper installation and long-term performance.
  • Perform specification reviews, detail assessments, and RFI responses to guide optimal system design.
  • Deliver online technical presentations, webinars, and product education sessions for project teams and industry partners.
  • Oversee materials QA/QC and verify proper blending and material standards with licensed dealers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
  • Support the creation of technical case studies
, gathering installation photos, design details, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Contribute to internal product development feedback loops based on field performance and technical insights.

This role offers a high level of autonomy, direct engagement with leading design professionals, and the opportunity to directly influence the successful delivery of major public and private-sector projects.

Training

Envirobond will offer an extensive paid training package to quickly bring the candidate up to speed on all technical aspects of the product, as well as the overall market in general.

Travel

The candidate will be able to do much of the legwork from a home office, however periodic travel to visit sites around North America and abroad will be included.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong foundation in civil engineering principles related to grading, drainage, stormwater, soils, and hardscape design
    .
  • Experience with site inspections, field troubleshooting, and contractor coordination
    .
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information to non-engineers.
  • High level of initiative, organization, and independence—comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects.
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng or PE) designation or eligibility.
  • Experience with permeable surfaces, trail systems, landscape architecture projects, or sustainable site design.
  • Familiarity with landscape construction practices and materials QA/QC.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations or client-facing training sessions.
