What Your Day Will Look Like

Consor is seeking a motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our growing Structural / Bridge Engineering Group in our Draper, Utah office. The selected candidate will work as an integral member of a close‑knit team on a wide range of structural and bridge design projects, collaborating under the guidance of a senior structural engineer with over twenty years of experience in transportation and project delivery.

You will design structures such as highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, walls, overhead sign structures, and miscellaneous drainage structures, gaining exposure to diverse projects and clients while building a strong foundation for your career in a supportive and growth‑focused culture.

Salary

Salary range
: $75 – 105k (Depending on experience). Compensation for candidates with significant experience beyond the minimum requirements may be considered above this range.

What You’ll Do
  • Work collaboratively with a team of other engineers on projects
  • Focus on career building with set achievable goals
  • Perform structural and bridge analysis and engineering calculations
  • Develop structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents
  • Conduct conceptual engineering studies
  • Support preliminary engineering and final design efforts
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and state transportation departments
What You’ll Need
  • 2+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on bridge design
  • Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of concrete and steel design
  • Experience required with Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD) or other versions of Micro Station and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Beneficial but not required software experience:
    Mathcad, Erickson Culvert, BGS, PGSuper, RISA, LEAP Bridge Suite, AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame (pass FE exam)
