Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision - Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of municipal engineers, providing guidance, technical support, and professional development opportunities.
- Project Oversight - Oversee the preparation of engineering documents for municipal projects, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway, drainage, sewer, water, parks, and athletic fields improvements.
- Project Management - Manage multiple high-priority projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Field Inspections & Assessments - Conduct or oversee field inspections of infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with design standards and local regulations.
- Review & Approvals - Review municipal site plans, zoning applications, and subdivisions, preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations for Planning & Zoning Boards.
- Client Relations & Communication - Cultivate strong relationships with municipal clients, offering proactive communication and problem-solving expertise to ensure client satisfaction.
- B.S in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, including project management for design and construction projects.
- Must have Professional Engineer (PE) license. Professional Planner (PP) license a plus.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in reviewing applications for Land Use Boards with availability for Municipal (Land Use Board, Council and/or Committee) night meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player and willingness to learn.
