KPFF Consulting Engineers is an engineering design firm with over 60 years of experience in innovative, sustainable engineering that addresses complex infrastructure challenges.
We seek a highly motivated individual to develop design and project management skills through work on public and private infrastructure projects, including bridges and waterfront infrastructure, across the West Coast region.
ResponsibilitiesThis position will provide the opportunity to work on all phases of projects—including planning, design, permitting, and construction—collaborating with clients and project teams.
Qualifications- B.S. in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis)
- M.S. in Civil Engineering preferred (structural emphasis)
- EIT required
- Concrete, steel, timber coursework and/or design experience
- Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design experience
- Familiarity with nonlinear analysis
- Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
- 7 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays
- 2 weeks vacation annually with seniority-based accruals
- 2 weeks personal and sick time
- KPFF contributes 3% of your base salary to a 401(k)
- Paid Family Leave: 60% of base salary up to 6 weeks in a rolling 12‑month period
- 40‑hour work schedule, Monday through Friday
- Flexible scheduling; core collaboration 9:30–3:30 PM
- Bonus for PE or SE at KPFF plus testing fee reimbursement
- Monthly cell phone stipend

- Normal office environment; desk or computer workstation
- Extended computer use required
- Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs
- In-person attendance required Monday‑Friday during training (8 AM‑5 PM)
- Post‑training hybrid schedule possible (2 days per week in office)
