Member of a multi‑disciplinary team, working under a Certified Plumbing Designer or licensed engineer on projects ranging from new construction to renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology settings.
Responsibilities- Perform and direct design of ductwork, piping and equipment selection for plumbing and fire protection systems independently or under a professional engineer.
- May supervise or provide project management direction within the mechanical discipline, monitoring project progress and budget.
- Prepare Revit/BIM construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration phases; perform Revit/BIM for HVAC systems as needed.
- Edit specifications for existing or new projects.
- Research and respond to emergent issues.
- Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
- Interface with clients and project team, attend OAC meetings with focus on project budget.
- Respond to RFIs and review change orders during construction document preparation.
- Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions, observe construction progress, and participate in construction meetings.
- Coordinate work activities with multiple team members and participate in business development and marketing activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
- Current CPD, PE or FPE in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience with mechanical systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Experience with engineering design programs (Revit, Trane Trace, Trane 3D Plus) required.
The salary range is $80,200 to $100,200, with possible discretionary bonuses and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, voluntary insurances, paid time off, flex‑time, remote work, 401(k) and other perks.
