Join Total Energies Renewables USA, LLC as a Project Engineer at our Downtown Houston Headquarters as we continue to strengthen our presence in renewable energies.
Electricity demand is set to rise faster than global demand for energy as a whole in the coming years. According to the International Energy Agency’s Sustainable Development Scenario, renewable energies will represent more than 35% of the world’s energy mix in 2040. To support this growth, our ambition is to achieve 100 gigawatts of gross installed renewable power generation capacity by 2030, through the development of our solar and wind energy businesses around the world.
As a Project Engineer - Solar you will support the execution of Total Energies solar pipeline and will report to the Director of Construction. As part of our Renewables team supporting industrial scale solar and storage projects, you will work from our US Headquarters in downtown Houston with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities- Coordinate relevant 3rd party engineers, and ensure design submittals and review of accurate 30%, 60% and 90% drawings.
- Develop and maintain Master Document Register (MDR) through the life of the project.
- Track deliverables throughout the project lifecycle (recording revisions, revision purposes, distribution, and transmittal histories).
- Ensure reliability, retrievability and traceability of the project data.
- Process documents for record or approval.
- Participate in Coordination Meetings.
- Coordinate with Project Leads to ensure all document control needs are being met.
- Assist throughout project lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a project engineering role required.
- Minimum 1+ years of professional renewable energy experience required.
- Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards required.
- Basic knowledge of civil, structural, and electrical.
- Professional experience in solar (PV) project design or project management and technical development work highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and proven ability to learn new software programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter, and naturally motivated to work hard and accomplish goals.
