Costich Engineering is looking for a Civil Designer with solid AutoCAD Civil 3D experience to support project teams across civil engineering and landscape architecture work. We're a locally rooted, multidisciplinary firm where designers work closely with engineers, landscape architects, and project managers across a genuine variety of project types. Job Type: Full‑time
Schedule: 8 Hour Shift (Day shift – Monday to Friday) with overtime
Experience: 3+ years
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Drafting, or related field — relevant certifications or vocational training considered
Work Remotely: No
Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 (Commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities Design & Drawing Production- Produce detailed construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, road alignments, drainage systems, landscape plans, lighting plans, and utility layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2026
- Generate accurate profiles, cross‑sections, and corridor models using Civil 3D’s 3D modeling capabilities
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, project requirements, and Costich CAD and layering standards
- Prepare technical specifications and project documentation to support design and construction
- Manage and organize project data including design files, reference files, and associated documentation
- Learn and maintain Costich firm AutoCAD standards consistently across all projects
- Perform thorough quality checks on designs and drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design standards
- Identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies before submission
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and landscape architects to understand project requirements and incorporate design changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate design decisions clearly and effectively
- Stay current with AutoCAD Civil 3D features, tools, and best practices
- Share knowledge within the team to improve workflows and overall efficiency

- 3+ years of experience in a civil engineering or landscape architecture office
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2026, including alignments, profiles, assemblies, corridors, and surfaces
- Strong understanding of civil engineering or landscape architecture principles, design standards, and industry practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Drafting, or related field
- Relevant AutoCAD or Civil 3D certifications or vocational training
- Familiarity with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
- Experience working across both civil and landscape architecture project types
