Overview
Join a global Supply Chain organization supporting operations for a major Pharma and Medical Device company, with the goal to deliver exceptional customer experience through functions such as customer service, distribution, and transportation. This includes overseeing key enablers such as supply chain master data management, safe and secure supply chain practices, and market/channel access capabilities, supporting the Medical Device sector. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Automation Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions for the European Distribution Centre hub.
Position OverviewThe successful candidate will play a key role in keeping the business running, optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and driving innovation across operations. You will provide technical expertise to the operation of a highly automated, efficient distribution hub. Responsibilities- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions for the European Distribution Centre hub.
- Provide technical expertise to support the operation of a highly automated distribution environment.
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive innovation across operations.
- Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Automation, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in automation engineering, robotics, or industrial digitalization
- Proficiency in controls & automation, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, OEE, and Warehouse Control Systems
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ based validation plans, engineering change control, and protocol/test development
- Preferred Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Automation, or related field
- Experience in highly automated manufacturing/distribution environments (GMP/regulatory preferred)
- Familiarity with Rockwell PLCs, industrial robotics, vision systems, and industrial data centers
- Knowledge of emerging technologies: AI/Machine Learning, AMR/AGV systems, IoT sensors, and edge computing
- Experience with data analytics tools for extracting insights from large-scale datasets
- Computer System Validation (CSV) & SDLC Documentation expertise
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
- Fluency in French and English (Dutch a plus)
