Permit Coordinator
Job Description
Join a dedicated team working on the EACAM fiber project, aimed at deploying fiber optic networks in rural areas with funding from the Enhanced Alternative Connect America Model (E-ACAM) program. This initiative supports telecommunication carriers in bringing high-speed broadband to remote locations.
Responsibilities
+ Draw Permit Polygons and manage ROW/COLO documentation.
+ Interpret existing fiber cable records, staking sheets, as-builts, as-stake, PUE, easement, and ROW/COLO documents.
+ Submit all documents, staking sheets, and permit packets to applicable permitting entities.
+ Manage tracking and project management systems, storing permit-related documents and records.
+ Attend DB621 training, provide status updates, and participate in quality control review meetings.
+ Attend all project meetings, provide update information, and participate in strategic planning calls.
+ Work with municipalities to ensure design drawings meet permit application requirements.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ year of experience as a permit coordinator or similar role for telecommunication/fiber projects.
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Excel for logging and tracking information.
+ Experience communicating with end customers via email, phone, etc.
+ Experience obtaining necessary information from municipalities or similar entities.
+ Ability to work remotely with a high degree of trust and reliability.
+ Ability to read design drawings.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in telecommunications, construction, and working with municipalities.
+
Experience with aerial and/or underground fiber projects.
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position, part of a 30-month project for a large communication carrier. You will be part of a team of six coordinators and two leads. The role requires online availability from 9 AM to 3 PM CST, with flexibility to complete a 40-hour workweek. The company will provide all necessary hardware, including a computer, desktop, keypad, and mouse.
Enjoy two weeks of PTO and six paid holidays.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
