Job Description

As a Construction Manager, you will manage new builds, renovations, and expansions of Fulfillment Centers across the United States. You will ensure effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing all aspects of design, scheduling, and budgeting to guarantee on-time delivery while coordinating risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

* Manage Preconstruction for retrofit, expansion, and initiative industrial building projects/programs.

* Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project/program progress.

* Ensure compliance with design criteria, spending, and transaction policies.

* Influence cross-functional stakeholders and prepare reports for upper management regarding project/program status.

* Obtain and document all specifics regarding projects from site selection and transaction management.

* Coordinate engineering and architectural specifications, including site surveys, existing drawings, and site visits.

* Coordinate initial architectural design and permit submittals as required.

* Develop and provide supporting documents for lease execution such as site plans, work letters, schedules, and phasing plans.

* Develop initial construction schedules and sequences for phasing of construction if necessary.

* Create construction estimates for capital requests and other planning efforts.

* Manage due diligence, utility, and other coordination efforts prior to construction hand-off.

* Provide complete and accurate documentation for construction handoff, uploaded to Procore.

* Maintain a repository for all pre-construction work products by site.

Essential Skills

* Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a comparable field.

* Minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction field or a related area.

* Familiarity with a variety of design and construction concepts, practices, and procedures.

* Experience in project management of retrofits and/or new builds for commercial or industrial construction.

* Ability to lead and direct the work of others with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience in at least two disciplines within the construction industry, such as General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design.

* Success in communicating project requirements to various audiences.

* Experience in facilities management or similar roles, including planning, design review, implementation, and project management/control of new structures and existing buildings.

* Program management of concurrent projects.

* Project Management accreditation (PMP or similar).

Work Environment

This position offers a remote working environment with the requirement of two project site visits of 2-3 days each week. Travel costs will be expensed, with sites located throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
