Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public-sector clients and transportation agencies.
- Prepare roadway designs, construction plans, technical specifications, reports, and contract documents.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on roadway, highway, bridge, drainage, intersection, pedestrian, and related transportation projects.
- Support projects through all phases, including planning, design, permitting, and construction.
- Conduct field assessments and site investigations to develop practical engineering solutions.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, public outreach efforts, funding applications, and project presentations.
- Assist with construction administration, observation, and resident engineering activities as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development, proposals, and project pursuits.
- Represent the organization through professional and industry involvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on roadway/transportation design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience with roadway design software such as Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, GEOPAK, Civil 3D, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with transportation agency design standards, utility coordination, and public infrastructure funding programs.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Experience with corridor modeling, vehicle-turning analysis, and roadway signing/way finding tools is a plus.
