JIRACOR is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineer II to support Navy engineering and sustainment programs. This role is responsible for leading complex engineering efforts, reviewing technical documentation, and supporting mission-critical initiatives that enhance operational readiness and lifecycle support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to lead and mentor junior personnel while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic government contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review technical data packages to ensure compliance with engineering standards and program requirements
- Evaluate engineering and technical referrals in accordance with established procedures and processes
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA) systems
- Review, validate, and develop technical documentation, technical manuals, and provisioning packages
- Analyze performance data and assist in the development of Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) models
- Provide engineering support for complex technical tasks and sustainment activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams, program stakeholders, and leadership to achieve project objectives
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout project execution
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- 4–7 years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently under general supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation and engineering data
- Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or federal government programs
- Familiarity with technical manuals, provisioning documentation, and lifecycle sustainment processes
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies
- Experience with Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) analysis or sustainment modeling
