About the role
Balfour Beatty Power T&D are currently looking for a BIM Engineer to join their growing team in Leeds, Newcastle or Glasgow.
Role PurposeDeliver technical BIM outputs and take ownership of discipline models for substation projects, ensuring accuracy, coordination readiness, and compliance with project BIM requirements.
What you'll be doing Accountabilities- Develop and manage discipline‑specific Revit models and drawings.
- Create and maintain parametric families and schedules.
- Coordinate closely with engineers to represent design intent accurately.
- Prepare models for clash detection and interdisciplinary review.
- Maintain model health, data quality, and performance.
- Support publishing and information exchange via the CDE.
Personal Qualities and
Experience:
- Strong Revit modelling capability and understanding of substations.
- Able to manage defined scopes with limited supervision.
- Problem‑solving approach and ownership of deliverables.
Familiarity with Navisworks and coordination principles desirable.
