Help shape sustainable water management in our community! We’re seeking a Technical Officer – Irrigation and Groundwater to manage groundwater monitoring, ensure compliance, and support the planning and delivery of irrigation infrastructure projects. To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

Qualifications, Certifications and Licences

  • Qualification in Irrigation, Hydrogeology or relevant Science discipline
  • Strong knowledge of groundwater legislation, abstraction policies, and irrigation asset management
  • Experience in hydrological surface and groundwater monitoring, sampling methodologies, and compliance reporting
  • Ability to interpret and analyse groundwater results, prepare complex reports, and conduct field audits
  • Skilled in contract administration, project delivery, and irrigation asset renewal works
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sound organisational/time management abilities
  • Commitment to safe work practices and WHS compliance

We are offering a gross salary of $94,367 per annum, and:

  • 12% superannuation with the option to co‑contribute up to an additional 5%
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $200 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
  • Flexible working arrangements, including work from home, rostered days off (9 day fortnight, or 19 day month) and two additional paid days of absence per annum
