Project Engineer-Solar

Project Engineer – Solar, 1-year contract assignment (W-2). The role supports utility-scale solar farm design and construction, managing third-party contractor teams to develop engineering designs and coordinating project stakeholders. The engineer applies value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance across electrical, structural, civil, and materials disciplines. Preferred candidates have a record of scheduling and budgeting major capital projects.

• Project engineering from concept definition through construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers at early and construction stages.
• Manage 3rd-party contractor teams to develop engineering designs.
• Apply value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems.

• 5 years’ experience in engineering and project management (exceptions may be considered).
• Prefer utility-scale solar project experience.
• Experience with DG/commercial solar and related power‑industry technologies (wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission) is considered.
• Experience in other industries (e.g., aerospace, civil/stormwater) may be considered.

Preferred in-office location:
Juno Beach, FL or remote with periodic travel. Remote work may be considered based on experience. Candidates are expected to travel to the office 25% of the time, with more frequent trips during the first 3-6 months.

Estimated base salary range: $45.00/hr to $50.00/hr, dependent on experience, qualifications and skills.
