About the job Senior Acoustics Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Acoustics Consultant to join our remote team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on acoustics, noise control, sound insulation, vibration analysis, and environmental noise projects across commercial, residential, industrial, transportation, and infrastructure developments. You will lead technical assessments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver innovative solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead acoustical and vibration assessments for a variety of projects
  • Conduct noise modeling, sound transmission analysis, and environmental impact studies
  • Develop recommendations for noise mitigation and acoustic design improvements
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and client presentations
  • Review architectural, mechanical, and structural designs for acoustical performance
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, planners, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal noise regulations and standards
  • Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership
  • Support business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in acoustics consulting
  • Experience with acoustical modeling software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN, INSUL, Odeon, or EASE
  • Strong knowledge of environmental noise, building acoustics, room acoustics, and vibration analysis
  • Excellent technical writing, presentation, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a remote environment
  • Professional certifications or Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE) membership preferred
