Description
You will be the Electro Mechanical Engineer Lead for the Integrated Fires Protection Capability 2 Interceptor (IFPC
2) program. Our team designs, builds, and tests next generation interceptors for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) portfolio, delivering critical capabilities to protect our nation and allies.
- Generate system interconnect diagrams in Zuken and create model‑based harness designs.
- Produce detailed mechanical layouts, drawings, and Bills of Materials specifying materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Support procurement by obtaining quotes, coordinating with model shop and outside vendors, and overseeing build‑up and assembly of new electronics modules.
- Define acceptance test criteria, perform verification testing, and document results to confirm compliance with performance, size, weight, power, and environmental requirements.
- Provide technical support during design reviews, engineering data releases, assembly, inspection, and test activities.
- Collaborate with structural, thermal, configuration management, electrical, mechanical, subcontract, planning, and quality partners to resolve issues and drive seamless integration.
- Travel to supplier sites or program locations as needed to support critical milestones, interface reviews, and field verification.
- Candidate should possess a DoD Secret level clearance or be able to obtain one.
- Proficient in CREO.
- Experience in Windchill.
- CCA/PWB design and collaboration with board layout designers (ECAD).
- Harness/Cable design experience.
- Zuken experience.
- Experience with integration of hardware.
- Experience with verification testing.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Clearance Level: Secret.
LocationThis position is in Dallas.
Remote Work InformationAbility to work remotely:
Part‑time remote telework; the employee will work part of the work schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, including a standard 40‑hour week over five days or condensed schedules providing additional time away from the office.
