Description:
This individual is a Telecommunications Professional and must be capable of understanding Outside Plant Engineering requirements as it pertains to in-building fiber infrastructure. Must be capable of providing administrative and field support to outside plant work forces. 2-3 years of experience required.
Must Have Skills
An understanding of fiber networks, network elements and interconnections points as it pertains to FTTX in-building fiber delivery - 2-3 years of experience required.
Ability to schedule & perform site surveys, communicate to the customer End User Requirements and scope of work for circuit delivery, and an understanding of technical drawings for engineering work order print generation while providing support for operations implementation.
Project management tracking capabilities with the ability to manage the deliverables on multiple projects.
Ability to work independently and prioritize work according to build requirement milestones.
Strong communication skills.
Logistics:
Hybrid working environment - 3 Office/2 Remote: time split between working on site in Manhattan (230 W 36th St) and working in remotely. Flexibility required and may need to shift in field and remote working days based on weekly demand of order volume.

Job Duties:
Engineering Pre-Survey
Receive and Review Service Order Requests in the Database - Location, Customer, and Circuit Speed
Facility Records Review (OSP Records: fiber cable & block plats, verify conduit records and in-building network design)
Address validation and database support
Contact Local Contact, Schedule the Site Survey - Update Database accordingly
Initiate Engineering Work Order
Engineering Survey
Walk Site with Local Contact & Building Personnel.
Identify customer demarcation point and nearest Client fiber access point
Determine best solution for circuit delivery
Communicate End User Customer Requirements (Pathway, Space, Power & Permission) and discuss Customer Site Ready Date
Engineering Post-Survey
Input survey result in Database - Provide Scope of Work, send official End User Requirement Documents to the customer, and provide final disposition for circuit delivery on the order
Draft & Issue Engineering Work Order Prints according to build milestones
Provide Field Operations Support during construction and circuit delivery
