Electro-Mechanical Controls Engineer (Automation Engineer Lead Analyst) - Express Scripts

The Pharmacy Automation Engineer (Automation Engineering Lead Analyst) is responsible for providing electrical and process controls support for highly-automated pharmaceutical filling and packaging systems. Responsibilities include performing emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance, implementing system upgrades, engineering change controls, and supporting equipment installations and expansions. The role also involves training and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced maintenance on automated equipment using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics and test equipment.
  • Maintain reliability of pharmacy automation equipment through preventive, corrective, and emergency work.
  • Troubleshoot, service, install, and repair automated production equipment, including modifications and upgrades.
  • Monitor and improve equipment performance, including MTBF.
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify degraded system performance.
  • Use CMMS (MAXIMO) to record work and monitor equipment performance.
  • Recommend process or equipment improvements to developers and designers.
  • Interpret system reports and address root causes of issues.
  • Document all maintenance activities via work orders in CMMS.
  • Operate on-site in an on-call capacity.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma;
    Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years maintenance experience in industrial settings preferred.
  • Experience with PLCs and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance and CMMS tools.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours and occasional travel.

Work schedule:

Sunday – Thursday, 6am-2:30pm. Internet connection must meet minimum speed requirements for remote work.
