Cameron‑Cole

Cameron‑Cole is seeking a Professional Engineer to support our growing operations. This role requires a Professional Engineer License in California, Colorado, or Florida with the ability to gain licensure in other states. Hybrid work with some in‑office presence is preferred, but the role can be performed from a home office, anywhere in the United States. This role is open to full‑time, part‑time, on‑call, or contract.

This role is an evergreen position, meaning we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team. Applications for this position are continuously accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.

Overview

With little supervision, this role will be responsible for designing, installing, and overseeing operation of environmental remediation systems, ensuring that all plans are accurately followed and adhered to Cameron‑Cole guidelines and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills to work with colleagues and clients. This role will report to a Director and is accountable to the Senior Staff.

This person should have strong client relationships and project management skills, and broad experience in California and/or Florida with environmental projects including contaminated site restoration subsurface investigations, and environmental permitting and compliance (air/water/waste).

Compensation

$114,000 - $151,100

Essential Job Functions
  • Excellent communication with demonstrated advanced writing skills
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key clients by providing technical expertise, attending client meetings, and leading project developments
  • Manage assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management, and provide high‑level consulting
  • Participate in the proposal and budget creation process
  • Design and operate remediation systems in accordance with state and local requirements
  • Writing and preparation of reports and presentations, including tables, charts, and graphs
  • Provide technical direction and oversight as well as mentoring and training to junior‑level staff
  • Field oversight of subsurface investigations, pilot tests, and other environmental projects

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university
  • Progressive experience with Remediation in environmental consulting
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California
  • Ability to obtain registrations in other states
  • OSHA HAZWOP 40‑hour (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) certification
  • A valid Driver's License
