MDG, Inc. is a growing civil engineering consulting firm specializing in airport planning, design, and construction administration throughout Florida and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in stormwater and utilities design to join our dynamic and growing team.
This is a remote position
, with preference given to candidates located in Florida due to the nature of our projects and coordination with regulatory agencies and clients across the state.
- Lead and support the design and development of drainage and stormwater systems for aviation and roadway projects.
- Lead and support the design and development of utility systems (water, sewer, lift stations, force main, etc.)
- Prepare drainage reports, permit applications, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software, including ICPR
4. - Evaluate floodplain impacts and develop mitigation and compensation strategies.
- Design stormwater quality treatment systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal design teams, project managers, subconsultants, and clients to deliver high-quality, on-schedule deliverables.
- Support permitting efforts by preparing applications and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
- Assist with multiple concurrent assignments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness to client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in ICPR4 required.
- Experience with floodplain analysis and compensation calculations.
- Knowledge of stormwater management and water quality treatment design.
- Excellent knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred but not required.
