Mechanical Engineer (Atmospheric Systems Engineering)

Brooks is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to accelerate our growth journey.

• Participate in all aspects of the mechanical design and development of new products, owning the full life cycle from concept to production release.
• Design new products for the semiconductor industry and develop new mechanical features for existing products.
• Produce and release 3D models, drawings and BOMs per the Brooks process.
• Work cooperatively with electrical and SW engineering to ensure new product designs meet market and customer requirements.
• Understand and communicate cost impact of new designs.
• Build prototypes.
• Support operations, supply chain, field service and the quality organization to sustain the product line and ensure reliable performance.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automation product development environment with knowledge of semiconductor equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (ProE & Solid Works) and FEA/CFD of mechanical designs.
• Knowledge of robotic mechanisms (motors, bearings, sensors, actuators) and fundamentals of components.
• Working knowledge of automation controls, robotics, and semiconductor system integration.
• Understanding of materials and good design practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare technical reports and presentations and interact with suppliers, supply chain, and operations.
• Hands‑on assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Ability to estimate tasks, complete projects on schedule.
• Knowledge of SEMI standards is a plus.
• Experience with Agile/AgileEC is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Base salary range: $84,178.82 USD to $ USD. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
