Position Title
Manager Product Development
Responsibilities- Manage and guide the design team by fostering a collaborative and safe working environment.
- Oversee projects from concept to solution delivery, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and industry standards.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems including hardware, firmware, and software solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability of complex products.
- Evaluate reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production.
- Communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand technical requirements and provide technical direction to other team members.
- Ensure effective execution of corporate objectives, including hiring, training, coaching and development of employees to maximize performance, promote career growth and build a high performing team.
- Manage project budgets to ensure labor, outside services, and capital expenditure are met along with other financial and operational commitments.
- Ensure support and maintenance of existing product portfolio.
- Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in product development.
- Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Developing, designing, validating, testing, and final release of electrical products
- Product development involving high‑accuracy analog circuits, digital design including signal integrity, and power management
- High-volume, low-cost designs with the highest standards for quality and reliability
- CAD tools including Cadence for circuit design, simulation and layout
- Ensuring that the design complies with regulatory certification requirements, including ANSI, FCC and UL
- Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Creating and maintaining development schedules, including developing design specifications from customer requirements and communicating requirements effectively to the design teams
- Accepts a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience in product development in lieu of a Master’s degree plus five (5) years of experience.
Position is a fixed location based in South Carolina office; telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed one (1) day per week.
