About The Role
We’re looking for a Commissioning Project Manager of Renewable Energy on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). You will work on behalf of the project owner as a Project Manager on a portfolio of renewable energy (wind, solar, battery storage). You will be responsible for execution of assigned renewable power plant projects and teams as it relates to commissioning, startup and operational turnover.
You will report to the onsite Manager.

Remote & Travel to multiple sites
- Perform commissioning activities for assigned projects with high quality and following all safety policies.
- Coordinate and manage EPC contractor personnel, OEM startup personnel, third‑party startup contractors, and operations personnel on site as it relates to site commissioning and startup.
- Ensure project reliability at operational turnover with plants exhibiting as little lost time in initial operation.
- Compliance with all project contractual documents to include Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility.
- Oversee commissioning personnel for multiple sites to ensure contractual obligations are met for all assigned projects.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise and input into team strategic planning for safety, personnel, quality and efficiency improvement.
- Work with the project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties.
- Electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA.
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting.
- E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting.
- Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting.
- Inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting.
- Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting.
- Drawing review quality control inspection.
- Manage third parties and suppliers.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
