Job Title:
MI Project/Program Manager IVJob Description As a MI Project/Program Manager IV, you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects and programs. You will oversee all aspects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure successful completion. You will prepare reports for upper management and utilize your extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this role.
- Coordinate and complete projects and programs.
- Oversee all aspects of projects, including setting deadlines and assigning responsibilities.
- Monitor and summarize the progress of projects and programs.
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding project/program status.
- Lead and direct the work of others in deployment of automation projects, network optimization projects, process engineering initiatives, and requests from operational leaders.
- Hold vendors accountable and manage third‑party vendor communication.
- Identify gaps in standards and ensure proper installation of automation and MHE equipment.
- Work with collaborative teams in operational warehouses focused on automation, MHE, material handling, and testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in the field or related area.
- 3‑5 years of experience in project management.
- 3‑5 years of experience with an engineering background.
- Program management, project management, and vendor management skills.
- PMP certification.
- Ability to hold vendors accountable and manage interpersonal conflicts.
- Ability to see and identify gaps on standards.
- Quick learner.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working multiple projects at the same time.
- Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams in operational warehouses.
The role requires 100% travel to work site locations. You will work with a regional team to complete multiple automation installation projects. The role involves heavy tracking, project management, technology utilization, and communication. You will be expected to travel 80% of the time, leaving home on Monday and returning on Friday, for both local and across‑country travel.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 – $65.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
