Remote Environmental ROW Specialist

Location: Hybrid (if located near Phoenix, AZ, Golden, CO, or Plain City, OH) or Remote

Schedule: 9–5

Must-Haves:

• 3–5 years of ROW, environmental, or telecom permitting experience
• Strong knowledge of ROW permitting processes and AHJs (DOT, Army Corps, rail, environmental)
• Experience analyzing environmental constraints (wetlands, floodplains, habitats)
• Proficiency with KMZ/KML tools (Google Earth, ArcGIS)
• Understanding of fiber construction (HDD, aerial, restoration)
• Strong communication + high attention to detail

Plusses:

• Existing municipal or permitting authority relationships
• Experience supporting RFPs or early‑stage feasibility
• Background in project tracking/PM tools

Day‑to‑Day:

• Evaluate environmental and ROW constraints along fiber routes
• Identify permitting paths, requirements, and timelines
• Support route feasibility and pre‑construction planning
• Prepare, review, and submit permit packages to AHJs
• Coordinate between engineering, vendors, and municipalities
• Track permit status across projects using PM tools
• Build relationships with municipalities to streamline approvals
• Resolve permitting/design issues and ensure compliance pre‑construction
