Senior Electrical Estimator – Infinite Consulting Corp

Location:

New York, NY (Work from Home, but must be located in NYC Metro area to attend occasional meetings or project requirements).

Our client is a leading project, program, and construction management firm known for excellence in safety, quality, and cost estimating.

• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation presented by the client to accurately prepare and estimate projects, with a focus on electrical scopes.
• Collaborate with project leads and leadership to develop MEP estimates as part of the larger scope package.
• Prepare detail-oriented and accurate estimates on new projects and estimate prices for any change orders on existing contracts, meeting assigned deadlines.
• Prepare "Take Offs" of mechanical/electrical materials, estimate all necessary shop labor and field installation, and determine materials, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a thorough bid estimate.
• Read and interpret job bid instructions and detailed specifications; prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job and estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs (including specialty equipment like lifts or generators) to prepare a thorough price estimate.
• Work directly with Sales and Pre-construction Teams to understand the size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines.
• Be comfortable discussing alternative recommendations on projects in which management requires value engineering or alternative estimates to meet client needs.
• Prepare pricing estimates on new projects and change orders on existing contracts, and summarize results with appropriate leaders to ensure complete job coverage.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent years of experience).
• 7 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably with electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, MEP systems, methods, and industry best practices. Familiar with HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems, and Basic Mech Design knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in construction estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team player, able to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relationships.

Estimated Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 annually (Salary commensurate with experience and local cost of living).
