This is a full-time, on-site Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter role based in Shreveport, LA. The CAD Drafter will prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software to support survey, right of way, permitting, and design projects. Responsibilities include transforming conceptual sketches, field data, and engineering notes into accurate drawings, updating and revising plans based on feedback, and maintaining organized drawing files and documentation.
The role involves coordinating with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure drawings meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The CAD Drafter will also assist in reviewing drawings for accuracy, identifying potential design issues, and supporting project teams in meeting schedules and client expectations.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and related drafting tools.
- Strong skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings for infrastructure and land development projects.
- Experience producing Drawing and Plats with attention to accuracy, scale, and detail.
- Ability to interpret survey data, right of way documents, and engineering specifications and translate them into clear drawings.
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple drawing packages under deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards, applicable codes, and best practices in oilfield, civil, utility, or transportation projects is preferred.
- Previous experience in surveying, right of way, or utility design environments is a plus. Remote work could be considered
