Overview
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer for remote work. Base pay range is provided by BCforward; actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Job Type: Contract – 40 hrs/week
Payrate: $50.00 - $58.67/hr on W2
Job DescriptionAn automation engineer creates and maintains automated solutions for various processes and systems using different tools and technologies. Automation engineers collaborate with other engineers, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure the quality and performance of automation projects.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions for processes and systems (e.g., web applications, databases, networks, infrastructure, and bare-metal workstations).
- Identify and analyze automation needs and opportunities and propose suitable solutions.
- Install, update, and maintain automation tools.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation solutions; ensure they are error-free and up-to-date.
- Monitor and evaluate performance and effectiveness of automation solutions; provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Document and report automation results and metrics; communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an automation engineer.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools and technologies (e.g., AWX, Ansible, Digital Rebar, Python, Git Hub).
- Knowledge of client OS and BIOS fundamentals.
- Prometheus and Grafana experience preferred.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying automation solutions for diverse environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to learn new tools quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
