To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Virginia Licensed Water Resources Engineer will manage hydrologic and hydraulic modeling assignments for bridge and culvert design, stormwater management, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities- Oversee and lead hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic modeling and analyses for fish passage and stream restoration projects
- Develop engineering designs, including plans, specifications, and contract documents for various water resources projects
- Assist with marketing efforts to establish and enhance client relationships while supporting business development activities
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering with a focus on riverine hydrology and hydraulics
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with 1D and 2D hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, including HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
- Experience preparing technical reports and compliance documentation for projects in regulated waterways and wetlands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with GIS tools for data analysis
