Job Description
As a member of the BIM & Digital Construction team, you will work on diverse and technically demanding projects in the railway, highways, roads and building sectors. Through the Design Center in Poland, you will collaborate closely with our teams in Switzerland and play a key role in delivering BIM models and technical documentation, with a growing focus on the execution phases.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams and is curious and eager to keep learning.
You will join BIM & Digital Construction, a unit based in French‑speaking Switzerland (Lausanne) and part of our Infrastructure activity. The team is made up of 10 people – engineers, architects and draftsmen – with strong experience in BIM management and BIM coordination. Three colleagues are already based at the Design Center in Poland and attached to the team.
The team works on railway projects (stations, rails or platforms), highways projects (roads, traffic, bridges etc.) and building projects, throughout the project lifecycle and with a growing focus on the execution phases. Representative projects include Lausanne railway station and a scan‑to‑BIM of 5 km of tunnels for Lausanne University.
The position is on site at the Design Center in Poland or partially remote work, with occasional travel to Switzerland. Collaboration with the Swiss teams is daily.
Key Responsibilities- Create and update BIM models and related documentation in Autodesk Revit across all project phases, with a strong focus on the execution stage.
- Model structural / civil engineering works, including excavations and temporary/permanent support systems.
- Produce reinforcement drawings (2D and/or 3D), formwork drawings, general arrangement drawings and coordination drawings, together with the associated schedules and quantity/material lists.
- Extract quantities and technical documentation from the model.
- Carry out quality control (QA/QC): model consistency, compliance with modeling standards and conventions.
- Coordinate models in a multidisciplinary environment with the Swiss teams (exchanges via the CDE, clash detection).
- Contribute to internal templates and standards, and mentor junior modelers (appreciated).
- Minimum 5 years of full‑time experience in BIM modeling
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Proven experience with reinforcement / rebar (2D or 3D)
- Experience in structural / civil engineering (railway, highways, underground works, buildings).
- Professional level of English (working language; daily collaboration with the Swiss teams).
- Knowledge of Tekla Structures and Civil 3D
- Knowledge of IFC / open BIM standards and BIM guidelines.
- A degree in structural / civil engineering, or equivalent technical training together with relevant experience.
