Job Summary

The AV Service Engineer will assist in the testing, troubleshooting and break‑fix of audio‑visual projects. Audio‑Visual Service Engineers provide excellent customer service and expertise as they efficiently resolve customer issues in a timely and customer‑friendly manner.

• Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for AMX/Crestron, DSP and network systems
• Modify code for DSP systems
• Assess, troubleshoot and repair all conference rooms
• Identify system bugs and report them to the programmer or Senior Support Engineer
• Make recommendations to the project manager and customer on design/scope issues
• Make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
• Fine‑tune audio‑visual systems to ensure optimal performance
• Provide excellent customer service

$24.00 – $45.00 per hour

• Follow directions of a Senior Service Engineer for tasks such as networked device addressing, program loading, and connecting to various IP/USB control systems for configuration and settings adjustment
• Work towards proficiency in LINX standards of programming, QA/QC

• CTS (optional)
• Extron EVAV
• Crestron Installer and P101

• Troubleshoot and train DMPS boardroom rooms
• Identify system bugs and report them to the programmer or Senior Service Engineer
• Basic understanding of AV solutions and ability to make recommendations to customer, project manager or engineer on design/scope issues
• Proficiency in LINX standards of programming, QA/QC

• CTS or ability to attain within 9 months
• QSC – Qsys Level 1
• Dante Level 1

• Self‑service DM and NVX divisible type rooms
• Takes all support issues on
• Identify, fix or task out issues
• Ensures work meets LINX standards
• Good understanding of AV solutions and ability to adjust design to customer requirements
• Proficiency in LINX standards and ability to hold others to these standards
• Fix any programming bugs with minimal remote support from programming

• All Level 2 certifications plus
• Crestron P201
• Harman programming associate
• Dante 2 and 3
• Q-sys Level 2

• Takes all support issues on
• Fix any programming bugs with only direction from programming (no remote)
• Leads service engineers on complex tickets
• Trains other Service Engineers on the LINX way
• Handles all aspects of project completion, including procurement, customer coordination, onsite management, etc.

• All Level 3 certifications plus
• Crestron P301/Crestron Certified Programmer
• CTS-D‑ (optimal)
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+
• Q-sys control training
