Salary Range: 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD

• After completing an ESA specific training program, you will be responsible for performing ESA services primarily for external suppliers located both domestically and internationally.
• Assess part forging processes for compliance to product definition data and engineering design intent, resulting in the disposition of requests for initial approvals, changes and inadvertent variations.
• Define approval plans, perform on-site witnessing of processes, review processing documentation and process simulations, analyze mechanical test data and metallurgical findings, and use statistical tools to determine process capability.

• BS or MS in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience and knowledge of large structural forgings and/or rolled ring forgings.

• An understanding of P&W’s design, manufacturing and quality systems, or experience with the ESA approval process.
• Knowledge of associated shop practices, alloy working methods and tooling, nickel and titanium metallurgy, metallurgical evaluation methods, mechanical property testing techniques, heat treatment, process simulations and statistical evaluation techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills required for interfacing with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities; ability to work well in a fast paced production type environment and to rapidly react to business needs; good analytical and observational skills; ability to work in a self-directed manner and willingness to occasionally provide coverage during off-hours.
• Job requires periodic travel to supplier locations.
